It's Pro-Am Weekend

The annual PGA stop at Pebble Beach - a place that will always have a special meaning for me. In March 1993 I moved from Phoenix to Monterey almost out of the blue to take a job working at a credit card company in Salinas. I knew no one there but quickly settled in with a fun group of people (some who are still great friends today after 30 years - god bless anyone for putting up with me for that long). And just a short three months later in June 1993 I met the wonderful woman who became my wife of 27 years this August (our Eddie George anniversary - he wore that number for the Titans as does my son Matt in high school football). We love going back there and the golf is obviously spectacular (as is the aquarium).

New wine today - haven't had a cab for a while so I opened a 2013 Inglenook Cab (Cask). In addition to their flagship Rubicon they make a 100% cab which I consider good (not great). A dependable red drinking wine for dinner. Have way too much of it so I'll be drinking it on nights like tonight when it actually snowed here and I am having homemade soup for dinner.

Below are a few pictures of Pebble Beach. When I die - in my next life I want to come back as a deer roaming the courses of Pebble Beach (where hunting is illegal :).
